Woman Claims She Was Attacked By Hospital Employee

SOUTH BEACH -- A Woman claims she was assaulted by a hospital employee.

The California realtor said she came to Miami to get away and have fun. Instead, she ended up raped in a hospital emergency room.

"They take off my shirt they start taking off my bra and they ended up making comments about my breasts," said victim Gloria Flores.

Gloria Flores says she and her friend went to a popular South Beach restaurant on July 10th and had a few drinks. She went to the bathroom not feeling well and ended up passing out on the floor.

The next thing she knew she was at South Shore Hospital, and that's where she said the real nightmare began.

"I remember I wanted to react. I wanted to say stop and I couldn't I didn't know how to move," she said.

Later, on a flight home to California, the horror of what happened finally hit her.

"There was another nurse in the room who was an eyewitness to everything that happened and he's confessed."

That eyewitness lead police to Julio Tandron, an E.M.T at South Shore Hospital.

Investigators say he admitted to the crime. The police affidavit says, "While the defendant attended the victim he kissed her fondled her breasts."

7-News visited Tadron to get his side of the story.

Tadron declined and said to speak to his attorney.

7-News tried calling South Shore Hospital several times but, the calls were not returned.

As for the alleged victim, she says her trip to South Florida and visit to the hospital has left her scared for life.

"I just don't want this to happen to anybody else."

Tandron is charged with sexual battery, and Flores is also suing the eyewitness who failed to help her.
