Cruising is Back in a Big Way! Port Canaveral Sees Cruise Industry Ramp Up as Sailings Resume

Carnival’s Mardi Gras made its return to Port Canaveral this week with its first passenger cruise since the Covid-19 pandemic. During the seven-day cruise, passengers visited the ports of San Juan, Amber Cove, and Nassau and had the opportunity to ride BOLT, the first roller coaster at sea.

Royal Caribbean’s Allure of the Seas also set sail from Port Canaveral, after it successfully completed its test cruise just a few weeks ago. Royal Caribbean is requiring that all passengers show proof of a negative COVID-19 test before they board. Disney Dream also departed from Port Canaveral for a four-night cruise to the Bahamas.

The cruise industry is back!

This will be the busiest weekend for cruise ships departing from Port Canaveral as the industry resumes its operations. Cruises have been shut down for more than 17 months due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
