It is not very often that lawyers get thanked for anything. Usually we are the punch line in a joke.
On February 19, 2009, I hope I brought a little more than a punch line to highlight the good that lawyers can and should do. The City of Coral Gables honored the work Aronfeld Trial Lawyers and I have done over the last five years in our Annual Menorah Lighting Ceremony.
Each year for the last five years we have created an public event to celebrate Hanukkah. The event is intended to spread light and unity to our community. In 2008 we remember those slain in the Mumbai massacre by lighting a candle in their honor. We also collected toys for children of parents serving in Iraq. Over 500 people attended the event. We hope you will join us in 2009 and help spread the word of peace, unity and light.
