Sounds easy, sit down and write a book. Not at all easy.
I met my editor Sunday, Kathy Osbourne. Kathy has been editing books authored by lawyers for nearly 25 years. She told me that most lawyers that write books, if they ever complete the book, take nearly two years.
She explained that once they go home and back to their lives as lawyers, books just do not get done. I can imagine that.
So I took her advice and have been walled up in the Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas for the last week. I have written nearly 100 pages and I feel like I am starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Since I do not smoke, drink or gamble I have been getting a lot done.

It has been quite reflective too. I have been thinking about the highs and lows of the last nearly 25 years of my life. Becoming a lawyer and staying a lawyer.
I will keep you posted on the status of the book.
