Virgin Voyages Set To Debut ADULTS-ONLY Cruise in April 2020

Billionaire Richard Branson launched Virgin Voyages, an adults-only cruise line for a specific genre: individuals who never saw themselves ever going on a cruise, which included himself.  So he set out to create a cruise experience like no other,  he promises passengers the cruise of a lifetime!

Virgin Voyages is the ultimate luxury cruise line for adults-only and set to debut in April 2020 with the launch of its first cruise ship, Scarlet Lady. This ship will be the first of four Virgin cruise ships set to sail from Port Miami, offering four to five-night cruises to the Caribbean and Bahamas.

No Extra Costs and Fees

One feature that many passengers may enjoy is the fact that cruise fares will include many of the extras that other cruise lines charge passengers to utilize. Any gratuities or tips will be included into the price of the trip, which means passengers should not expect to see a daily service fee on their bills. Passengers will also receive free unlimited Wi-Fi. Fitness classes are also complimentary.

Meal Options

The Scarlet Lady and other Virgin ships will not include formal nights, buffets, or main dining areas. Instead, passengers can choose from one of approximately 20 restaurants to eat on the ship. The cost for eating will be included in the cruise fare, which includes basic beverages. The options include steak and seafood, upscale Mexican, a cooking lab and restaurant, food hall, Italian, and Korean BBQ. Some of these locations will be open 24 hours daily.

Cabins and Suites

The Scarlet Lady will feature one of a kind transformational cabin beds at sea, as well as single cabins for passengers who are enjoying the cruise solo. Balconies have always been a desired feature for passengers traveling via cruise, and 86 percent of all cabins on the ship will have a balcony. Ninety-three percent of cabins on-board will feature an ocean view.

For passengers seeking the “rock star” treatment, Virgin Voyages offers select Rockstar Suites, which were designed by Tom Dixon’s Design Research Studio. Passengers who book these suites are referred to as Rockstar Suites Sailors, and they will have their own service crew who will take care of their needs from booking and throughout the voyage.

Rockstar Suites Sailors will also have exclusive backstage access for on-board entertainment, restaurants, Shore Things, as well as private transfers to and from the ship in Miami.  Upon arrival, Suites Sailors will have a wardrobe team help them unpack and repack at the end of the trip, as well as nightly express swimsuit drying services and complimentary pressing service. The suites will also come equipped with a full bar and cocktail kit, the first round on the house.

Port Stops at the Beach Club in Bimini

The Scarlet Lady is expected to stop and spend at least one day at the Beach Club in Bimini, which is said to rival other popular beach clubs in Ibiza and Saint-Tropez. The Beach Club was designed by EOA, Inc., a Miami-based architectural firm, and the Beach Club overlooks the ocean and features a lagoon-style pool. After the sun sets, the party begins with pool and flotilla party and beach bonfire.

Entertainment Features

The ship will also have different residency programs featuring popular artists. Virgin Voyages announced that Mark Ronson has already committed to four performances at The Beach Club at Bimini in 2020. Other entertainment includes a private karaoke lounge, gaming lounge and other music performances on-board.

Tattoos and Vinyl

Virgin Voyages has partnered with one of New York City’s historic tattoo companies, World Famous Tattoo Ink. They will have a location for passengers who wish to get a tattoo by this popular tattoo company. The Scarlet Lady will also host a record store on the ship, called Voyage Vinyl for those who are record enthusiasts.
